Camilla Rognes is a Norwegian violinist and Alexander Teacher. She is based in Oslo, where she is working and teaching. She studied the violin at the Barratt-Due Music Institute and the Music Conservatory in Oslo, and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She did her Alexander Technique training in London 2004-2007, at the Alexander Technique Studio and the Constructive Teaching Centre. She has been teaching the Alexander Technique in Oslo since 2007, in the centre of the city. She is passionate both about the art of teaching, and the art of playing the violin. She loves playing chamber music, but is also often seen in the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Of special interest to her is the way the Alexander Technique can have a positive impact on pregnancy and childbirth. She is also very interested in applying the Technique to music and performing. She is never tired of exploring how we human beings can reach our full potential. She is a member of STAT (Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique) and NFLAT (Norsk forening for lærere i Alexanderteknikk). - – top of page – ->
